want to know what fashion trends are most popular where? and stay on top of them to the second? the online fashion boutique net-a-porter has just launched a new program on their website called “net-a-porter live” that lets you see what individual (registered) shoppers are putting in their virtual shopping bags in real time. items pop up on a google map at the location where the user is shopping from and a bar on the right shows the product, price and name of the location.

now you can be ahead of the curve no matter where you live and all you jetsetters can always know whats hip before you hop across the pond.  be sure to go check it out for yourself here.

your bag says everything…

Friday, June 25th, 2010

as most can attest, i simply love handbags. i think they would even go so far to say that i have an obsession with YSL handbags. it has come to the point that i visit the YSL boutique on 57th and 5th and walk out with a new Muse or Roady that i then proceed to hide from my husband, who knows exactly what i am doing, but he humors me anyway. he gives me that look. you know the one?

the look...

i think your bag and the color of your bag speaks to your mood and feelings. it is like a pair of shoes. it ALWAYS fits. and on these hot and humid summer days that counts. most recently, i have departed from my navy blue Roady bag and into a more structure classic dove grey large Muse by YSL. I am loving how subdued and relaxed it makes me feel. i know some may say i am crazy. but it does the trick for me. i look at it and i seem to exhale, my shoulders relax, and my jaw loosens.

yesterday, i had the pleasure of meeting the lovely Jennifer Hassell of Orange and Pear . she has a keen, amazing eye. i am loving everything on her site. so much so that i have departed from my YSL addiction and have purchased a new bag and a new designer. could it be? yes it could! i bought a Flea Bag. it should arrive any day and until then i am filled with nervous anticipation. i just know i will love it. i already have such plans for our new adventures. it will become my traveling companion for my upcoming jaunt to Greece and Turkey, perfect for my Istanbul market purchases.

stay tuned for more updates on the adventures of my new bag, and until then… visit Jennifer’s site and buy one for yourself.
