enlightening fixtures

Tuesday, June 15th, 2010

I love chandeliers. My interest was sparked by the chandeliers used in every facet of Vosges life – and now I am always on the hunt for beautiful light fixtures.  Lianayar Yaroslavsky creates chandelier tables – a perfect setting for champagne and truffles if there ever were one.

Lindsey Adelman creates voluptuous Bubble Globes. You can see her work featured in Carrie’s “Sex and the City II” apartment.

rose tarlow & other flowers

Friday, April 23rd, 2010

Growing up, I have always been captivated by personal libraries large enough to have sliding ladders. Although lately I am more likely to find escape online than in a good book – book covers have become works of art in and of themselves. I aspire to someday have a home library, with a staircase as beautiful as this one by designer Rose Tarlow. Rose believes that “words and furniture have a lot in common”.
