we were so excited to hear about the new collaboration between our amazing friends at linnea’s lights and one of our favorites, rachel ashwell of shabby chic couture. isn’t it pretty? believe us, it smells even better!
to celebrate the opening of rachel’s newest venture, the prairie bed & breakfast in texas, they joined forces on this spectacular co-branded candle and we just know you’ll love the final product!
rachel ashwell is a self-made business woman who founded the iconic brand known as shabby chic in 1989 when, as a single mother of two young children, she looked to open a small shop where she could sell ‘pretty things’ without spending much time or distance away from her children and opened her first store on trendy montana avenue in santa monica, california.
her vision and love of vintage style and flea-market has always struck a cord and inspired the like-minded aesthetic over at linnea’s lights. rachel will release her seventh book titled rachel ashwell shabby chic inspiration and beautiful spaces published by cico books in october 2011, and we can’t wait to get our hands on a copy!
the new candle, wildflower, is inspired by the texas wildflowers that grow on the prairie and which linnea’s lights blended especially for the occasion. can’t get to texas, but want a candle of your very own? give the prairie store a call at 979-936-6907!
